Hello readers! I know it’s been a minute since I’ve posted things here, but I am trying my best to be consistent. Here’s another book review for you guys π Happy reading!!

Review :
‘Slices Of Life‘ is a collection of 12 short stories from Richa Gupta. These short stories are a mix of various genres. From sci-fi to love story to pathos β there is something for everyone in it. The stories are also women centric which I really loved.
Out of all the stories ‘Bridal war’ is my absolute favourite. There are stories like ‘Dusk‘ which is about current situation (corona) and its effects on the daily wagers which was devastating. Richa Gupta has eloquently touched various emotions like envy, love, hate, despair, fear, anger, stress etc. The book also portrays a lot of relationships like that of a mother-daughter, husband β wife, friends, lovers, parents-children, workers-bosses etc.
Each tale in this book is a new genre and that makes it all the more interesting. I read it in between huge books that I was reading and it was quite refreshing.
I give this book 3.6 stars as there were a few things I didnβt agree with. For example, there were a few stories wherein I was not a fan of the way the stories ended. There were a few places where obscure and uncommon words were used which could have been avoided.
If you are someone who is having a reading slump, this book is for you!
If you are someone who likes refreshing short stories , this book is for you.
